“I am an Advocate and I will Speak Up” was the theme for Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness Day 2019.
Unfortunately, cancer is becoming a daily reality in the lives of many in the society, and when women are concerned, it can mean the loss of mother, wife, grandmother or sister in a family, a vital missing link.
Hope for The Village Child Foundation marked Breast and Cervical cancer awareness day with a “Road Walk”.
A walk of 6 kilometer covered by the Hope for The Village Child Foundation staff, the walk is met for awareness about Breast and Cervical cancer to women and about the screening to be held on the 5th of November 2019.
The staff interacted with the women one-on-one in the streets, markets places and shops to inform the public and women to come for the screening on breast and cervical cancer.
